Laerte is in charge to manage the Corporate and International Areas of Practice, having strong expertise in advising foreign investors, bankrupt estates and companies operating in the markets of real estate, tourism, hospitality, construction, and transports.

He has a Bachelor of Law at the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR), Specialist in Business Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP), and Master in International Law at the Lisbon University School of Law (FDUL). He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (London), member of the Arbitration and Mediation Unit of the Alliance of Business Lawyers (Geneva), Arbitrator of the Brazilian Specialized Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration (Fortaleza), Vice-President of the Brazilian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ceará (Fortaleza), Associate Attorney to the Consulate General of Germany (Recife), Professor of the Course MBA in State Taxes at the CDL Professional College (Fortaleza).

Worked professionally in due diligence, settlement of new companies, business acquisitions, corporate restructuring projects, asset protection strategies, international finance transactions, corporate conflicts, international arbitrations, implementation of corporate governance rules, disputes on intellectual property rights, negotiation of international contracts, as well the change, merger and split of companies. Was speaker in Brazil and abroad in panels related to foreign capital, investment attraction, and Brazilian legal system. Speaks fluently Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
